We have an opportunity for a Die Tooling Engineer to work as part of a team on the new model introductions together with providing technical support to Die Maintenance and Press.
Salary: £47,970.84
Key Responsibilities:
- Project lead the introductions of new model die trials
- Support new model diel trials with the parent company in Japan and China
- Conceptualise, develop and create new die processes from customer CAD models
- Project lead and support the manufacture of hot and cold new model dies and develop and implement production improvement processes
- Assess and drive company and departmental KPI improvements in relation, but not restricted to, reducing downtime and improving tooling efficiencies
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to ensure a safe working environment
Skills / Experience /Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 4 qualification in Tool, Die and Mould or Mechanical Engineering or Die Maintenance Apprenticeship NVQ Level 3
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills
- Knowledge of Die/Press process and operations is essential
- The ability to troubleshoot, problem solve and resolve technical problems relating to Press tooling
- A good understanding of Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures
