Working as part of the Human Resources Team, you are responsible for driving and implementing the company HSE strategy and establish a healthy cultural attitude towards health and safety and identify training requirement in the work force. As lead for the HSE you will provide specialist coaching, advice and training that will drive, motivate, inspire and encourage managers, staff and contractors to deliver legislative compliance and promote continuous improvement to create, achieve and sustain world class health, safety and environmental performance.
Salary: £40,730.04 to £45,255.48 (depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
Health & Safety
- Adhere to, compile, review and promote, all required health, safety and welfare policies and processes that are established by the company.
- Support in the third party, and Client group site audits and inspections.
- Conduct internal audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and business departments and resolution tracking.
- Involvement in continual improvement initiatives on manufacturing and business processes, in HSE management with the ultimate aim of improved HSE performance.
- Develop and maintain procedures for HSE management, and support the planning and implementation
process. - Identify, prepare and carry out in-house training when requested.
Environment
- Carry out and submit all weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual ISO 14001 reports and paperwork in
- accordance to group standard.
- Liaise with relevant bodies such as EA, local authorities and public bodies.
- Coordinate all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental Health,
conservation, and renewable energy. - Implement best practice in areas of corporate, ethical and social responsibility and address any issue arising.
Skills / Experience /Qualifications:
- Health and Safety qualifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent would be advantageous for this role.
- Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all organisational levels (including Senior Managers).
- Ability to recommend preventative action, develop new initiatives and co-ordinate or ensure their implementation along with providing relevant training.
- Formal auditor training ISO 9001 /14001/18001 trained (Desirable).
- Knowledge & experience of Environmental management requirements.
- Experienced in auditing and root cause analysis techniques.
- A good understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically in relation to Client, Principal Designer & Principal Contractor role
Schedule:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:45am – 4:30pm
- Friday: 7:45am – 1:45pm
