The Business Administration Apprentice is responsible for administrative and support services in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate administrative records within the Unipres Training Academy for both training programmes and apprenticeship provision.

Salary: £14,511 per year

What will the apprentice be doing?

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Proactively support staff during recruitment periods – shortlisting CV’s, updating recruitment trackers/records, scheduling and informing candidates of each recruitment stage, including creating promotional materials
  • Ensure enrolment/assessment paperwork has been completed accurately ensuring all audit/timescale requirements have been met for our Company Training Programme and Apprenticeships
  • Establish and coordinate students learning files held within the Training Academy and ensure audit compliance
  • Register and process learner certificate requests with relevant Awarding Bodies
  • To provide administrative support to the Academy Controller, Coordinator and delivery staff and responsible for all general administration associated with the day-to-day running of the Training Academy
  • Deal with learner enquiries in a timely manner
  • Prepare for open events, taster sessions and entry assessments
  • Participate in school engagement activities and become an Apprentice/STEM Ambassador to support apprentice recruitment
  • Assist in arranging purchase orders and ordering resources for the Training Academy
  • Assist in supporting the coordination and promotion of quality assurance processes, data, funding and MIS (Management Information Systems)
  • General housekeeping duties as required to maintain a clean, tidy and organised working environment
  • Other duties required as identified by the Controller and Coordinator to support the successful running of the Training Academy

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

The successful candidate will complete a Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship through East Durham College within the Unipres Training Academy to support continuous development.

The training will take place one day a week and will be supported in their studies by the Training Academy and selected Training Provider to ensure success.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

A full time position will be available to the correct candidate upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

The opportunity to progress onto a Higher Level Apprenticeship for personal development and support the development of the Unipres Training Academy.
